*Mags also loves to push her bottom lip out with her tongue; she's done this for weeks now. It's really quite cute.
*She has recently enjoyed chewing the burp cloth, or our finger in a burp cloth.
*She really loves books, too. Her favorites seem to be Eric Carle's "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" and "Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?" We've read to her since her first week of life and hope to foster this for the rest of her life.
*And, she seems to have finally found her hands; she puts them in her mouth many times each day.
Cool new tricks, Mags. Can't wait to see them for myself in a couple of weeks! Auntie Shannon will even teach her how to roll her tongue. ;)
ReplyDeleteShe has something really profound and important to say--I just know it!
ReplyDeleteit is awesome to hear everything mags is up to. it is so fun watching to see what new things they come up with every week! i remember owie's first laugh, and it was the sweetest sound i think i ever heard! i think it is wwwwooooonnnndddeeeerrrrffffuuuulllthat you guys have been so proactive with reading to the little magster...i truly believe it does foster a life-long love of literature/learning and helps with so many aspects of development and, in the future, every subject basically...reading is the basis of everything! owen too loves "brown bear...." it is one of those books we read to him every day and he still enjoys after 16 months! We just got him "Panda Bear, Panda Bear, What Do You See" and that one is pretty cool too...monkeys, water buffalo, penguins, sea lions...it comes in the little board book form too! Anyways, thanks for all the mags info...love it!
ReplyDeleteHow awesome! She is developing just wonderfully. And what a perfect fit for your family. I'd love to see her watch Aron on the guitar. Hugs and kisses- patti
ReplyDeleteI second what the isaacs said about reading! We have been reading to Angelina since birth, and now that she is almost 5 years old, she LOVES books, and learning in general! She is already reading books by herself and my husband now reads her chapter books every night. They are currently reading Black Beauty. They just finished American Tale and before that was Charlotte's Web! I read a lot to Zoe too. Nothing too specific... Angelina had TONS of books we read her as a young infant/toddler, so now they are Zoe's. She like "The Runaway Bunny". It has a TON of beautiful pictures in it! Pretty soon I will sit with her and watch the baby einstein videos! Angelina LOVED every one of them! Thanks for the updates, and again, it's wonderful that we are going through the same things with my youngest, and your first! hehe! Love ya!
ReplyDeleteZane loved Brown Bear, Brown Bear! I used to be able to recite it to him (silly voices & all) while cruising the grocery isles. Ppl thought we were crazy I'm sure but a mom's gotta do what a mom's gotta do, right?
