We have started a Saturday morning ritual of walking to our nearest Starbucks, about 3/4 of a mile from here. It's a lovely walk, even on colder days like today. Aron and I enjoy catching up on our weeks and talking about life (or reading a book or the paper). Here are a few shots of our time out and about as a family.
That is such a *great* ritual!!! :) Looks fun! Miss you!! Want to come to North Carolina to visit? :) he he he! *Always* up for visitors!!
ReplyDeleteWhat awesome saturday morning ritual! Matt called today from an awesome park he found and he was down because I wasn't there to see it with him, but he was excited because he knew D would just love it! Lots of kids playing about and parents hanging on blankets with the younger ones we're hoping that can be a weekend ritual for us maybe lunch in the park with D! It will take me that long to get up us all ready and get there but it's right near this great new shop I found on the internet and matt went to visit called Zabar's kind of a fun worldly foods place lots of prepared stuff, cheeses, wines, etc. Oh and yummy black and white cookies I need to blog about those...I'll do it now! I'm glad Aron made it back safe and sound Matt called last night and his boss told him to throw a weekend home to see me in his current job since it came in way under budget! Anyways, I can't wait for you and Mags to come to NY it will be so much fun, of course right now I just want D to grow and the weeks to pass so I can get to NY!
ReplyDeleteLove you...miss you. K
love these shots! she just keeps getting cuter and cuter (and her hair is growing!) family rituals are *so fun*. Roby and I recently bought a membership to the aquarium and love taking O there on the weekends followed by lunch and a stroll in downtown Chattanooga!
ReplyDeleteAwesome way to spend a Saturday morning together.
ReplyDeletei love these pics. you guys looks like such hip-urban-parents. suz, you're looking especially hot. i like the hair. highlights, right? saturdays are the best! and family outings are my fave!!! sometimes we pretend to be metro and drive into the city to go to the farmers market there. i love it when D's home! xoxo
ReplyDeleteShey, perhaps someday we'll make it to NC. Your recent pics of the landscape made it quite tempting.
ReplyDeleteRach, I cannot wait for you all to get in a groove in NYC. I can picture you all just being the uber-urban fam...walks in Central Park, picnics, visiting art galleries. And all with Dealey! Just remember, "urban babies drink lattes."
Heth, I know, her hair is getting longer. I'm eager for it to all fill in and to be able to stick it in pigtails and such. Visiting the aquarium with O sounds way fun.
Tines, the farmer's market huh? So jealous. Would love to stroll along with you and the O-man and buy fresh goods. And thanks for the hair love; yes, I got highlights when we were in CA. I have the best sylist back there; wish I could see her all the time.
great idea! loved the shot of A and Mags and in that last one, Mags looks very interested in your cup of coffee - perhaps she'll have an early start?!! :) Ha!
ReplyDeletela beat me to it w/ a coffee comment, but aren't you a little afraid that the coffee might stunt her growth? or is it a chai...in that case, just pour it into her bottle. Agree w/ t, you are looking mighty fine! love the do.
ReplyDeleteLa, I really liked that shot, too. Mags looks so freakin' cute. :)
ReplyDeleteMel, thanks for the encouraging words. Means alot.
Everyone else stole my words--you guys look so hip! The tranquility of having one child on an outing is lovely. I can see you're enjoying it. Caelan is so good about being out and about because of the "training" she got hanging out with mom and dad solo those first 16 months :)
ReplyDeleteShe's so cute! :-)
ReplyDeleteAdorable! She's gonna be ordering a verde skinny mochiato w/ whip cream before she knows her ABC's! :)
