Today, Maggie is 11 months old! Hard to believe that she is 4 weeks shy of the big 1. She has one new tooth (bringing the total to 7), says "dada" all the time (I would offically say it's her first word), occassionally says "mama" (though doesn't really seem to know it means me...sigh), is making new sounds all the time (currently, lots of "ca-ca" and "tu-tu"), likes to be chased, attempts headstands from time to time, likes to sit on her knees, and is enamored with all things musical.
They get so big! I was just talking about Kaleb's birthday with Mom...it's the day after Maggie's. He's going to be 6!! What did y'all decide to do for Maggie's big day?
ReplyDeleteBailey, I don't think I realized their birthdays were so close. How fun! Let's see...we are going to have a bunch of friends over for a nice lunch. Overall, the event will be more "adult-focused", because, well, she won't remember this day! I am hoping to make some yummy cupcakes off this great cupcake blog I like, with some Marth Stewart cookie toppers, very classic looking. We'll have other brunchy things: spinach and artichoke dip, chicken sandwiches, gingersnaps, pumpkin dip and fruit, let's see...still trying to figure out the menu. I will probably make a cake for Maggie to dig into to. She'll have a party hat. Should be fun! :) How about you?
ReplyDeleteI told you it goes fast!!! LOL! :) I am waiting for the day you post about being pregnant again! :) LOL. That will just add to my on going list of pregos! I have 10 friends/family that are currently pregnant! Soon to be 9 because one of my friends is due any second with her 3rd child. Most of my friends are due within 3 weeks of each other! YIKES!

Well, I'm not exactly sure yet! I'm sure there will kid-friendly food (I'm going to get alot more of K's input this year, since he's old enough to know what he wants!), and we haven't decided on the theme of the cake yet, but I have the feeling it will probably end up being spiderman...I have to take him with me to look at cakes, this week, I suppose. We're going to do it here at home, because everybody hasn't gotten a chance to see the new place yet, and K likes to show it off. We're actually going to have other kids this year...eek! :) It'll be fun, my nephew Tyler was too little last year to participate too much, but he'll be in the middle of the fun this year, as will my friend Melissa's kids. I'm looking forward to him being much more involved this year with everything! hmmm....guess I had better get a move on with the plans and invites, huh!? :)

okay...I just read over that. To clarify: We weren't here for K's b-day last year, I meant that Tyler was too little to participate in the parties we had before we left to go be with Tyrone when he graduated Basic.

ReplyDeleteShe is adorable. Glad you are settled and feeling at home in Tex. Seems like you have a ton of changes, no bink, moving, sippy, etc. But how fun! My little Chase is 7 months, and I am dying at how fast time is flying. But no, I am not planning on being preggo anytime soon.
