poser

If you recognize this band, you probably know more about them than I do and I did grow up in the era of "New Kids on the Block" fever. But, I never listened to them. Why am I posting this useless information, you might be asking yourself? Along with several friends, I will be a concert-goer on Sunday night. I seriously feel like the biggest poser.

Here's the extent of the lyrics I know: The right stuff.

Wait, I think these are also some popular lyrics: Hangin' tough.
I'll update you upon my return and tell you if I've become a late-blooming fan.

  1. this is so funny and just strikes me as super hilarious as you are really into music and this is so un-like you, but I know you'll have fun. Back in the day, a friend from college had front row to Backstreet Boys - or was it NSync? - and she said she was out there with the best of them, screaming her head off like a 7th grader. Have fun!

  2. I am shaking my head and chuckling to myself about this. I am interested to see what a "non-fan" thinks about the New Kids!

  3. Have fun, can't wait to hear about it! I actually sang a song when I was running for student council in 4th grade to Hangin Tough but changed the lyrics to Votin Brown!

  4. I wouldn't have been able to tell you who this was if it was to save my life. Their music - a complete mystery to me.

  6. Wow, it looks like I'm the first one to post that was a genuine fan! :P I LOVED me some NKOTB back in the day. I went to two concerts, it was awesome, haha! I can't say I'd buy a ticket now, I had no idea they were even recording again... then again I think the nostalgia of it all just might be worth the money.

  9. hilarious. i personally liked jon the best, jordan was a close second ;) i saw them on rachel ray recently where she had the ultimate fans on the show...one lady still had a water bottle that one of them drank out of 20 years ago! pretty funny to see them all grown up and singing lyrics like, "we were cool, the summer was hot, you had the beauty and beach on lock" or something like that...ha ha ha. should be fun.
